Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Without our dedicated volunteers, many of our programs and services would not exist. We have many ways to get involved with the Humane Society of Danville to accommodate different talents, time commitments and interests.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunites, which include:
Thrift shop attendants
For general volunteers, you must:
Be at least 16 years old; younger children may volunteer if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Follow our policies and procedures
For certain positions, customer service skills are very helpful
Volunteer/Community Service Credit for School
If you are a high school student looking for volunteering opportunities to fulfill a graduation requirement, please contact us. We can provide a variety of opportunites to help you graduate and will benefit the animals of the Humane Society of Danville at the same time!
Scouting Merit Badges
Is your scouting group is looking for a way to earn an animal-related merit badge? If so, please contact us on ways we can partner!
Hold a Fundraiser or Supplies Drive
Would you consider hosting a supply drive at your school, workplace, apartment building, or other organization? Supplies are always greatly appreciated; see our Wish List for more details.
Volunteer as a Group
Looking for a team-building exercise or a way to encourage corporate citizenship in your organization? We would be thrilled to host your workplace, service organization or other group.
